What we're doing to give back... 

 

One of my very first thoughts when embarking on the journey of creating a small business was centered on how I could give back and shed light on a meaningful cause. How can I make it mean something other than bringing awareness to toxic chemicals in clothing? 

I came across a children's charity dedicated to supporting young ones right here in Aotearoa, New Zealand. These are kids whose families, despite their best efforts, struggle to provide the most basic essentials: warm clothing, shoes, and even regular meals. This charity steps in to bridge this gap, ensuring that these children can focus on their education rather than worrying about where their next meal or warm jacket will come from.

This touched my heart deeply. After all, isn't our instinct as parents to do everything in our power to care for our children? I have no doubt that these parents have done their utmost to provide for their kids, but the challenges of an ever-increasing cost of living, personal hardships, and other factors have made it difficult. Fortunately, they've turned to KidsCan Charity, seeking the support needed to give their children a brighter future.

KidsCan Charity's mission is:
 

"[to provide] the essentials to Kiwi kids affected by poverty so they can participate in learning and have an opportunity for a better future."
With every order through our small business, a donation of the profits will be made (according to the cost of the order) to KidsCan Charity as follows: 
  • $1 from every order under $75 is donated.
  • $2 from every order between $75 and $150 is donated.
  • $3 from every order between $151 and $300 is donated.
  • Orders exceeding $300 will receive a $5 donation.
